Springfield Gear Up 2019

So Springfield has a new Gear Up program. 5 mags(I guess three extra since the gun comes with 2), a pistol range bag, lockable hard case, holster, and double mag pouch(looks like the same plastic ones they’ve been including for years). No mail in. Extra stuff given right at counter. Springfield says pre-packaged.

I stop by by local shop. Guy says he heard they were doing mail in. I show him the email I got and the website. He hadn’t heard. Or he says he hasn’t because the XDE he’s had there for a while does not come with anything extra, he said. Probably because he took it into inventory before the deal was announced and he never got the pre-packaged stuff. On the way out, he said he would come down on the price.

So if I ask him to order me a new one, would Springfield send him the packaged extras? Don’t care much about the holster and mag pouched, and I got a range bag, but I’m not walking away from three free mags and I know whatever he drops the price to isn’t gonna be $200 worth of stuff that Springfield claims the extras are worth.

Just order it online yourself. Ship it to any FFL close by (could probably even be the same LGS. That way typically no tax and free shipping and all you pay is FFL fee which around me here in Ohio is about $25

SA made specific SKUs that come with the gear. Any pistol that's NOT in those SKUs doesn't have the gear.

So he would have to get that particular one from his distributor. I don’t see him ordering more when he still has at least one in stock to sell. And how would I know if one I ordered online would be that particular one with the gear? I’d have to call the vendor first I guess.

They tried to make it more attractive by having the gear come home with the gun rather than waiting for the mail but it’s more of a hassle.

Note it's not for every gun they offer. Just the ones on the list. If you pay attention you'll see all the model numbers end in GU for Gear Up.

As said previously it's SKU specific. I have already called some retailers to ask because I would like to get and XDS 2.0 but am still shopping for the best deal.

Any that come with gear show the GU in SKU. Also any ad or description should mention it. It’s fairly new so may not be a bunch in inventory yet
