I have had a Springfield Operator for about 6 years now. It has O.D. green frame and black slide, Novak night sights, light rail and Pachmayr grips. Unlike many of the other Operators, it does not have the full length guide rod, but rather has your standard short plastic rod for ease of take-down.
I have heard this pistol was only made for a short while and that they are becoming very "sought after" now. Is there any truth to this? Does anyone know how many years they were made or approx. how many of these pistols were made?
lastly, were there any other O.D green framed Operators or was the MC Operator the only model like this?
Thanks in advance!
