I am curious about what products I can use to degrease a gun prior to duracoating it. I am looking for a more commonly used product as opposed to a gun scrubber. Hopefully, something I could pickup at the Walmart or the local hardware store. One guy suggested brake cleaner.

Any suggestions that y'all have had success with?

brake cleaner will work, as will a scrubbing with simple green and then drying the piece by heating it.

Mineral Spirits.

I'm pretty sure I've seen alcohol soaked cloths for sale, simialar to a baby wipe material.
The guys at home depot can probably give a product name.

+1 for brake cleaner.

Or there's Gun Scrubber. But it's basically just brake cleaner under another name. And costs more.
