Suggestions on MAGNUM autoloaders!

Whoa there, @bc1023.
That’s a strong statement. Let’s see if the math works.

My beloved Desert Eagle:
(300grains@1475fps)8rounds=
3.54 million awesome points

The Euro upstart:
(95grains@2121fps)17rounds=
3,425,415 awesome points

It is close, but the numbers show victory to the Eagle and the BRNO a very beautiful second.

(With 400 grain bullets it’s a cool 4 million...):D

They are both wonderful IMO.

@bc1023

If my elbow wasnt a disaster one of those would definitely be on my shortlist, but stout 10mm is my elbows recoil limit these days.

The Eagle is an angular, masculine brute. A gorilla.
The BRNO is svelte and curvaceous. The beauty.

They are He-man and She-ra.
Examples of the perfect form.

(Remember when being a hero didn’t include whining about why things suck? Nope. Just go smash a Gowrack and save a Trollen village, with your bare fist, a sword and a catch phrase!)

It only seems right that one could have three Eagles for the price of one FK. It is as it should be.:)

While I can hold my 450Bushmaster like a pistol, I haven’t been brave enough to try it, yet.
It seems like it has much more than just two grains more powder worth of recoil, to my shoulder, yet I can shoot these all day...

Obviously, because one is a Desert Eagle.:D
Dual wielded mine and my buddies .458 socoms like pistols, really wasn't bad with the carbine stocks braced on my forearms.

holding a pair of 9lb (fully loaded) carbines at arms length, that's another story....making ONE hit....priceless.

Ive always been a semi-guy for 9mm, 45 ACP
And a wheelgun guy for 357 and 44.

(I AM a handloader and prices of factory ammo no longer make a difference to me)

Within the last few years ive been into 10mm, and in my opinion, 10mm Auto is an entry class Magnum round when loaded at the upper half of its range. Its terminal performance and capabilities to knock steel over, and blowing water jugs in half IMO make it a clear step above other standard service caliber Autos.

How about something a little bit (or a lot) more?
Options:
Desert eagle in 44 mag or 50ae, maybe.
Lar Grizzly in 45 Win Mag?

Im interested in hearing what you all have for auto loaders that pack a whallup, and why you like or dislike them.
Ive shot a DE enough to know that I like them. Id buy one, and MAY except id have to figure out how to carry it while hunting....id guess a shoulder rig.

you might also take a look at the .45 Rowland conversions. its been a while since i looked those up, but they ca come close to .44mag performance.
I did a .45 SUPER build using a Xdtac, and the heaviest rounds i wanted to shoot out of that thing were 230s at 1250.....unpleasant is probably putting it mildly.

My Brother had a Desert Eagle in 50AE. Shorter barrel. I ABSOLUTELY HATTED It. It Torqued So badly everytime I pulled the trigger and Hurt my hands pretty badly. A few Rounds thru It was more than enough for me. Having said that I wanted him to get a longer 44 magnum barrel for it. I really felt that the gas operation as well as the Longer Barrel would have Gone a Long way to Tame That Gun and make a Sweet Shooter. Unfortunatly he sold it. I own The Glock M40 MOS with several Barrels and I Love It. At my age it is more than enough Magnum power for me. I actually sold a Ruger Red Hawk to Buy the Glock. But the Rugger Just Beat me Up too much. My Nephew owns the Ruger Now and loves the Gun. It had aftermarket Grips when he bought it and he put the stock grips back on and said he likes them much More.

Everyone that has ever played first person shooter video games has loved shooting my Desert Eagle .44Mag. It is fun, but its heavy, pretty much needs full house loads, and the safety rotates the "wrong way". Reliability has been excellent, but 100 rounds in an outing with it is rare, where as 300+ for a normal 9mm or .45ACP is real common for me.

I've never shot a DE or a 10mm for that matter but I do have and shoot both a .44 AMP and a .357 AMP. Both are awesome. However, I admit to having the .44 Mag-Na-Ported so it's like a fuzzy kitten rather than like a tiger. I bought the .44 AMP one week and shot a hog with it the next. It plowed into the dirt like a bulldozer.

I have a lot of CDM and Norma brass for it plus a bunch that I made from .308 cases. Forming all of the brass you would need would be a colossal pia, especially the reaming part.

re: post #4;

I always wondered what was in a can of Whoop A$$!

had lots of folks threaten to open up a can on me.
Wasn’t impressed.

Now I know it was just Green Beans!!!
From Walmart no less! rotfl !

I had a Grizzly .45 Win Mag for 20+ years and sold it last year for a lot more than I paid for it new. I got tired of loading for it and it was hard to find the fired brass to reload for unless was on a contained range. It also required a special holster and an Uncle Mikes bandolier seemed as good as any that I could find . My Son wasn't interested in it , he just loads his Glock 10mm hot. It was well made and not that much bigger than a Colt Gold Cup except the grip. If you can find a .45 Win Mag Grizzly , they are nice.
