Suppressors @ the Range = very cool

Aside from baffle strikes, there is little point in using subsonic .223 loads; at that point you may as well be using .22lr.

Disagree. Subsonic .223 can have twice the bullet weight at the same velocity. Can't shoot 90gr projos from a .22LR.

maybe.. but what about bullet drop... catastrophic ballistic..

I've tried myself.. got back from it..

Why would you be shooting long range with it? Subsonic bullets are almost never any good past a couple hundred in any caliber, much less .224".

For long range shooting the advantage is recoil reduction.

On my .260 the can brings down recoil to .22 lr levels.
On .300 it reduces recoil to .260 levels. Very effective on .338 LPM as well from what I hear.

Yes the bullet remains supersonic, and is still loud. But the effect on accuracy (+) and recoil(-) more than pays for its self.

Where in Central PA are you located? There are some good C3 dealers in PA that I have used. I just found another one in Lebanon Co and his prices seem to be pretty good.

As far as good suppressors, if you go with the bigger companies, they will stand behind their products.

You should check out SAS LLC. The guy is a small operation, but his cans are suppose to be the cat's ass. My next can will be from SAS based on SAS owners and talking to Tim a few times. I don't think you will get better CS with any other company.

My quiet guns.

Right now my Tubb is in 243. I have a couple 6XC barrels for it along with a 6.5 Creedmore and a 308 barrel.

I was busting pumpkin sized rocks with it at 1,100 - 1,200 yards last weekend in Raton NM.

The can on the Tubb is a Shark Ti.

The little AR (SBR'ed) has a 5.5 inch barrel and an AAC Evo9 on it. Fun little gun.
