Whats a water generator?

I mean I KNOW a six pack of beer is a water generator but really do you keep a 6 pack?

Not to be a wise guy but I am slowly starting one of these - my wife thinks I'm nuts.

probably some sort of mechanical water purifier/filtration system. most i've seen are small, hand pump units perfect for hiking, etc. I guess there could be some larger motor driven units.

here's my question:

what do you store all this in? now that you've got the BOB gear, how do you BO with it? BOB has been done to death here but i think the discussion of carrying/storing/toting and pack choice is probably fresher than the huge lists of items that people feel are important to have when the SHTF.

Can you give the weight of each kit? Sorry, but this looks like a "wish list" without any real survival training experience.

Seems like you have way too much redundancy in each kit. Have you really carried any these, or is this just on paper?

Why do you need 3 different saws in kit "1? Why do you need protien tablets? Silverware?-get a plastic spork.

Hvy Tarp, tent cloth, 3 space blankets? Just get a 1-man tent or basha. I'd personally add a poncho & spare socks.

fire starter, matches, lighter, & flint? Make up your mind. Where's the tinder?

Camo paint? Camo paint?

You need katadyne filter AND H20 purification tablets?

Solar AA charger? for what? Get 1-2 LED lights, that's all.

Surgical kit? Are you trained? What do you have to treat a compound fracture or a puncture wound if you take a fall?

Fanny pack with 9 water bags?

Any immodium to treat diarrhea from tainted water/foods? Toilet paper?

How about a .22lr pistol and 100-rds of ammo? (maybe 200 max).
