taurus 651 need owner feedback

I'm considering one of these little .357's and am looking for feedback from any one here owns one. I recently picked up a Ruger LCR in 357 and am pleased with it.

I'm wanting another snubbie to expand my collection and have a chance to get one of these at a good price used its a stainless model,thanks for any info.

I have a blued 651 that I really like and use quite a bit. That being said, It has had several quality issues that added over a hundred and a half, to the price just in shipping. I wouldn't trade it for anything, (present from wife / perfect fit for my needs) but I won't be buying another made by Taurus.

this is the 'humpback' version of my taurus .357... no problems with mine. fwiw, i dao'd mine, as the single-action feature does nothing for me on a fixed-sight snubby.

The 651 was one of the 4 Taurus revolvers I owned in the past. All 4 of my Taurus had issues but the 651's were easily repaired with lock tight. It had a tendency to loosen up under the recoil of magnum rounds, mainly the ejection rod and cylinder latch. It also was a bit rough in terms of finish, lots of tool marks and such. Apart for those small issues, the 651 was accurate, comfortable to shoot and easy to carry. While I've since sworn off of Taurus, I found the the 651 to be a decent revolver for the money.

I've got one with over 2k rounds thru it. It's been fine the whole time. Nothing extraordinary either good or bad.
