Just wanted everyone to know I had the best day yesterday! Went shooting with my brother and his girlfriends brother, My brother wanted to try out his new ak, he got an underfolder, and I brought my ak along with my gsg 5, 1911 and gp100.
My brothers girlfriends brother(I'm starting to confuse myself!) brought out his sks and henry leveraction .22, first time I've ever shot an sks, it was so smooth shooting it was ridiculous. We shot all 3 side by side and the sks was easiest shooting, followed by my ak, then my brothers, The wire underfolder made it almost unbearable after a mag, just started getting painful.
Had the opportunity to do a mag dump with my ak, first time I've ever done that, at right at about 50 yards I put 27 rounds out of 30 in the man sized target we had, dumped it in under 14 seconds and after the mag was spent my finger and shoulder were killing me! I guess it makes sense though. My brother finally realized shooting an ak in real life is way different than call of duty, and it was full auto, he definitely respects guns alot more now and wants to go back next week to practice more.
I guess the only thing that made the day any better was wathcing the Iron Bowl with my dad who surprised us all by driving down from North Carolina to watch it with us.
We take the game super seriously.
