I like the idea. The model looks like he could be either a teacher or professor, and the text doesn't specify, allowing it to apply to both settings.

I'll second the idea of changing the bottom to "concealedcampus.org", the current line is a little misleading in my mind. Self defense is legal, but the means to do so, effectively, are banned.

Going on the physics theme, other ideas that could be used are:
"Sometimes you have to meet force with force"
"Which projectile will stop an attacker faster?"
"Why ban the advances of technology from schools?" (or physics, science)

Idea for the right side:
"It doesn't take a degree to know which is in an equal and opposite force"

Somewhat random idea for a future shot: Glock, Paper (school policy?), Scissors

Of course, knowing about trigger discipline, I know where the other finger is, but I also figured that might be disturbing to a non-gunnie. Perhaps if the left hand was rotated to show the trigger finger lying alongside the slide, it might be a tad less "jarring" to the non-gunner.

Actually, I think if both hands were holding the objects with the backs of the hands showing, the image would have more impact.

I also found it a tad jarring that the model was holding the firearm in his left hand. No offense to lefties, but that also kind of distracted me from the "message." One rarely sees movie ads and such with the firearm in the left hand, and right-handedness seems to be the "norm" in advertising.

Just "body language" kind of stuff, but that was my constructively-critical reaction.

I have no problem with the textual portions at all.

I agree with Mp7 - the bottom line (in white) is distracting. The Words in black get the message across - but your eye is drawn down first. I would switch the contrast and either shrink or delete the bottom line. This way the readers eye goes directly to the message.

Yes. After the almost complete passivity and non-resistance of the VT victims it was suggested, mainly from the conservative side, that they could have at least thrown books, backpacks, laptops, etc. at the killer, whom I will not dignify by the use of his name.

The left-liberal antis latched on to that expression of astonishment that the VT victims had not availed themselves of any means of resistance, even an inadequate one, to promote -- as if books, backpacks, and laptops were truly equal in defensive potential to a gun.

Look at the picture and you'll notice the book and gun match with the writing. If reversed it throws the message off IMHO. With peoples perception, it comes across as "support the teacher" then gets them with the curveball of "support the teacher with the gun"

Several people mentioned other bottom lines, but I think anything that goes with the message would work. i.e.: support campus carry,www whateveryourprocarrysiteis dot com,....

It makes sense, tactically. Fight back any way you can to keep the would be killer off his game. IF you don't have a gun, throw a book, or whatever is available. Keep down, keep moving and hiding, and keep throwing stuff. Keep fighting back. Just because you can't carry in certain places doesn't mean you can't defend yourself. The greatest weapon you have is your mind, not your gun.

Tho a gun would make it decidedly easier.

My only problem with the picture is that at first glance, the book looks like a Bible. It takes a much closer look to see that it is in fact a Physics textbook. I had to read the captions before I figured out that this poster was NOT about Jehovah's Witnesses showing up at my door armed.

I say replace the book with a more modern physics or other scientific textbook. Something with the title more prominently displayed, or at least more recognizable as a textbook.
