Can you educate me on the various TR revolvers that are out there new and used? Are they any 'better' or offering of different features than the standard S&W line up?

Not saying they're better or worse, just great S&W Revolvers. I had the one with the round butt, 44 special and sold it. Hate RB. Tried the conversion grips and they just didn't feel right in my hand.

If they ever make one with open sights and a square butt, then I'm for it.

Thunder Ranch Smith's

They are great guns...and their intent was to offer those of us who carry revolvers for self defense, a rugged, no non sense large caliber revolver for that purpose. I especially like the 45 acp set up, cause I can do really fast reloads with full moon clips. With the right holsters, they are concealable and easy to pack around, and they shoot big bullets.

I had one of the Model 21's in 44 Special. I had swapped the RB grips over the Hogues and made a world of difference. I traded it off for something else somewhere along the line, and almost bought it back again six months later.

6 rounds of .44 or .45 goodness.
What's not to like? Other than the stupid logo on the grips, that is.
