Walking through a gun show over the weekend, I found a table with a lot of AR-15 uppers and lowers to look through, and decided to pick up a new lower for an orphan 7.62x39 carbine upper that I've been switching back and forth with my Colt HBAR. One of the less expensive lowers was a lone TNW Firearms one, with a 6-position stock and multi-position sling swivel. It was cheaper than the Rock River or Spikes lowers, but seemed to be pretty good quality. It's got a very smooth hard anodized finish, and I understand it's CNC machined out of a forged aluminum billet. Looking around on the 'Net today, I see a lot of lowers listed that are even cheaper, and wonder if I overpayed at $329.
I can't find a comparable TNW lower for sale for a price comparison, does anybody here have any info or experience with them? TNW seems to mostly be known for making semi-auto versions of machine guns and sub-machine guns.

I tiny bit on the high side. You can buy a Aero Precision lower for $75+fees, lpk's ar $50. It's a buyers market for the AR platform. I just put together a complete lower with a AP lwr, RRA two stage and EMOD stock for $280. I had most the lpk on hand.

That is definitley on the high side. I just purchased a RRA complete for $240. Oh well, you got your lower and found a home for the orphan. Win/Win

Took it out for a test firing, and it works fine.
I noticed it has a different hammer and trigger setup than my Colt and Olympic lowers, apparently it's a two-stage trigger, which looks like this:

With that, the six-position adjustable stock (http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=26652/Product/AR_15_M16_M4_COLLAPSIBLE_BUTTSTOCK ), and the ambidextrous sling attachment points (http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=43982/sku/CAR_Ambi_Sling_Adapter ) , it seems to be kind of an upgrade from a generic milspec AR-15 lower.
After browsing through Brownell's website and pricing out the individual parts, I don't feel too bad about what I paid now.

The CMMG 2-stage trigger (it could also be an RRA or Armalite, both of which look very similar) is worth $100 or so and should make it a good value as it turns out.

With a good two-stage trigger it's probably a decent deal after all. Still I'd rather get a stripped lower then choose the parts myself to build it up. Anyway, the main thing is you like it!
