I have a CZ 75B, which is a great gun and I would like to buy a PCR or PO-1. Am an concerned about the trigger reach. On the 75B it is too far unless I half cock the gun. While this is fine for this gun, I only use it at the range I am not sure the same thing is possible with the decock CZs.

Is the trigger reach any shorter on the PCR/PO-1 or can they be half-cocked?

Thanks.

I think the two guns are fundamentally the same with regard to grip and trigger reach. (The P-01 does have a differently-shaped trigger, and that may help a little.)

HALF COCK is possible with the P-01. All of the decocker models decock to "half-cocked" mode.

So you'd simply cock it, decock, then holster the weapon.

As you've probably noticed, starting from half-cock gives you a lighter first shot, too.

Part of the advertising on the P-01 indicates that they reshaped the trigger to shorten the pull. You might find that it is OK for you. I don't think the pull is too long on the CZ-85 that I have, but I have long fingers. Thinking about the 97 now....

The original production PCR (the gun the PO1 was fathered by)
came with the normal 75 trigger...serrated version :barf:
It was a "tactical" style addition I guess ??????? Anyway, the newer guns have the PO1 trigger on them.....before I got my 2nd PCR...I bought the only PO1 trigger in the states and had a trigger job and the trigger installed on my older PCR...
MAJOR DIFFERENCE.... its smoother, better shaped, puts the trigger closer to the grip...I dont know exactly how much closer and changes the leverage points for easier trigger pull...it all holds true....
In fact Ive heard from CZUB sources that the triggers will slowly become the "standard" trigger on all CZ DA guns......
BTW, you can just pull the hammer back until it hits the 1/2 cock notch on the D' models...you dont have to cock it and drop the hammer...same thing.
Shoot well
