Hello, to all just an update on a thead a few days old. I became a new father of a Bushmaster XM 15 E2S, The question on the old thread was if $700.-$750. was a good deal or not from a family member (3rd or 4th cousin ). Well I believe it was cosidering it was purchased for $600.00 and a Ted Willams single break 410 ga. AR came with 16" barrel, cut out for gernade lancher, bayonett lug,6 posi stk, 20 rds ammo, one of those extra large ammo holders, and hard case. Sorry went to post a few pics this morning and found out that the camera is on an overnight at friends house residing in another state as I type this . I spent much of the morning reading through the search forum on a few questions that have been circling overhead. All that has expired is I'm very confused. I believe that I have aquired a Pre Ban AR with no more than 50 rds shot, in excepctional good shape, for its age the way it is set up at a very good price. I thought it was only 1-2 years old before purchase which is not the case, considering what it looks like. Is there a Bushmaster web site to check the sn# to verify for sure. I have been spending (wishing really) to accessorise: to a flat top upper and new handguard rail and maybe changeing the stock and some furniture on the foward end that could all be taken off using the new quick release aids. All that said I have found out you can not have a Post Ban lower with a Per Ban upper . I did not find out if you could Pre Ban lower w/ a Post Ban upper. I would like to change the look a small amount, but I'm on the egde of doing anthing because it is a PreBan. I'm the third owner so other than what I have been told I'm not sure where it came from as in what state it was bought in. What I do know is that it is mine mine mine. Oh what to do leave it as is or change it up and stash the orig. parts if I can go form old to new. Signed Confused I need HELP

Yes that is a good family price for a decent AR-15.

The AR-15 is the "MR Potato Head" of rifles making the changes is simple. BTW the clinton gun ban is over you can do as you please if your state allows it.
