One of the few classes of weapon I don't own is something in the "evil black rifle" group. I have actually left a space or 3 open in one of the safes just for a sks, ar, and ak. Well as of this week I have an ak and a sks in the mail. The ar class is calling to me. Something about a American platform this is cheap to shoot.
Anyway next on the list is an Ar varmint configuration. I know M-4s backwards forewords and inside out. But when it comes to the civilian sector I dont know much about ars plain and simple. What companies are any good and what not. SO this question is this: Is there a company that makes a varmint barreled ar 15 for around a grand? And if so how good are they? Cant wait until i actually get to get home and use it.
you dont sound like the patient type since you just got the others just like that! anyways....my suggestions all include a wait time...sorry.

1.White Oak Arms upper with you building the lower as you speak with the good stuff
2. Rock River Arms Predator Pursuit in 16" or 20"

both of mine deliver under half inch 5 shot groups at 100 and I could not be happier - and the best part is they are not really any more expensive than the other options...well Ill have a drink to patience if you can find it!

DPMS Sweet 16 and Bushmaster XM15-E2S Predator 24" fluted. I got each for well under $1K without optics. Bushmaster got an excellent trigger in it too. I flop about between several optics, depending on range, scenario, etc.
