Wayne, is supposed to be talking in San Francisco, Ca tomorrow.

This is where one can buy tickets..

I cannot help but wonder how it will go. I fear this guy might catch a few eggs and he will not have enough audiance. I am also certain that a there will be a gathering of protesters outside.

Why would he put himself in the midst of the liberal strong hold?? The media is going to report this with a negative spin anyway:(

Is anyone here going to make it there? I know we have THR members from that area.

Wayne is overshadowed by the Gay Marriage and the latest SFPD scandal where some veteran cop helped his girl friend shoplift in Sacramento. Sacramento PD caught him and instead of arresting him, filed a report w/SF for an internal affairs investigation. He's toast.

Wayne is a good man who strongly believes in our cause. He will put himself into the strongest of all liberal bastions at great risk to his political welfare no matter what happens and continue to do so as long as there are threats to the rkba. I don't think he'll have a hard time drawing a crowd ;) You'll find more supporters out there than you really expected :)

Proxy me!

I can't go :( But I hope all High Roaders in the Bay Area will show up.

It would be great to have this taped for audio upload to THR.

I live in the SF Bay Area, but a trip to san Francisco on a work night is really a bit much for me. I'd love to go, because I think Wayne will need some friendly faces in the audience. I hope someone from here makes it and reports back.

It would be great to have this taped for audio upload to THR.
I think that KQED radio (NPR) broadcasts most or all of the Commonwealth Club's speakers. Some enterprising person might want to find out when he's on and tape him...

According to the Commonwealth Club web site, the speech will be broadcast on Friday, March 19th.

We'll see if the local NPR affiliates choose to carry it.

Wayne LaPierre
The Second Amendment as a Freedom Issue

Okay, as a public service :))) I have downloaded and converted LaPierre's speech to MP3s.

The speech is brilliant. I am most impressed with this guy.

There are two files -- the speech (1.5MB) and the Q&A (2MB), and that's at a pretty low quality.

They're too big to upload here, but if an admin would care to make an exception or add it to the library, just let me know.

Alternately, if RealMedia frustrates you, PM me to get a copy -- we'll work something out.

No, not the only one. I'm going to listen later when I have the time. Thanks for doing this. However, being somewhat computer illiterate, I'm pretty sure I don't have the proper software on my computer - MP3. I've never bothered with it.

Thanks for posting the link. I'm listening to it right now.

Don't forget to listen to the Question & Answer session. He addresses LE and guns and mentions that the line officers support the 2nd Amendment and it's the political motivated police executives who are anti-2nd Amendment.

Matt - if you email the files to me, I can host them. I'm glad you found the audio as I wasn't able to make it that day :(

The email addy in my profile should work, otherwise let me know via PM.

Okay, I've been with computers a LONG time, but am not into the sparkly trinkets like audio, etc. I am also on a 50K line. What plays the MP3 and where can they be downloaded?

I bought a ticket but couldn't make it - will listen soon. The local Bay Area NPR did broadcast the speech twice.

Windows Media Player will do it Guy.

If these are not in RPA format I wouldn't mind haveing them .But if they arein Real Player never mind . That piece of software will never touch my PC.

Boy, I forgot what an articulated spokesman Wayne is.
I got to see him here in Knoxville during the last Presidential campaign.

As a result of hearing these speeches, I am re-signing with the NRA.
Heck, my membership is only a few weeks lapsed!
