The D'Italia lines are made in Italy. (great guns from what I have seen and shot)
The Vanguard (excellent quality) is made in Japan. (Was made in Germany for some time, with most people saying the Japanese ones being better)
The Mark V and such is made in America. (It was made overseas for a period, but has since been made in the US again for quite sometime) - very very nice gun.
The PA and SA series are made in Turkey. I've never seen Weatherby put their name on a bad product. But I've never owned nor shot any of the Turkish guns... I haven't heard they have a bad rap either, but I haven't really sought an opinion out, nor seen too many out there yet.
If there was or is an issue, I'm pretty confident Weatherby will take care of the customer/gun. They carry a very good customer service reputation.
I thought of getting a PA-08, but opted for a Mossberg 500. My biggest concern is, they are new, they do not stock parts for them like they do guns that have been made for 50+ years. For the price, I felt more comfortable with Mossberg.
