I found some pretty good deals as well. I went looking for some plated 40 S&W bullets, primers, and targets. I found all three.:D I bought 165 grain plated 40 S&W bullets at $9/100, I bought (8) bags, or 800 bullets. I picked up a brick of Winchester primers for $21.95, now I have 5000 of those.:D I found some NRA bullseye targets for $5/50 and NRA silouhette targets for $3/20.:D The best deal I found on a pistol was a new in box 24/7 compact for $350, If I had been looking for a pistol, I would have bought it too. Shotguns were a dime a dozen at around $250 for an 870 or Mossy 500. The Yugo SKS's are getting ridiculous now, they were running around $250. I found a Savage 110 30-06 with scope for $325, another good deal. All in all it was a great show and the prices weren't too bad either.:D

The only thing that bummed me out, there was no 357 mag brass, none, nada, zilch, zippo.:( They had 40 S&W brass all over the place, but I don't need anymore of that, already have 3000 pieces.:D

Went to a show today too. Picked up a P97 and also found 500 M1 carbine bullets for $45.

don't give up on shows, while most of the time there is the same 'ol yada yada ....sometimes you find something good either a good deal or a nice hard to find item.

Plus it gives you and hands on opportunity to check things out.Last week I scored a minty pre ban M1a at a show, and while I didn't get it for a bargain(though I haggeled it down some),I scored a real nice rifle minty with TRW bolt and Winchester barrel.

And the ladies, always a nice eye candy plus.:p

Yeah I went to a show and there was a bunch of racist shirts and crap. Oh and the big line of everyone trying to offer me a CCW class... so much fun. I did buy some .40 ammo that I got a good deal on though :)

Gun shows are fun, they just attract some interesting folks and some of those folks I don't care to be around as they are really kind of crazy.

:)

This show was out here in Colorado Springs, we tend to have some pretty good show's, about 4 or 5 each year, this one was no exception. There was a large selection of pistols, plenty of AK's and AR's, lots of mil-surps, and plenty of lever action and bolt action hunting rifles. We're not plagued with the beef jerkey problem, lots of guns at these show's.:D:neener:

Plus, the wholesalers that deal in bullets, primers, and brass, are much, much cheaper then online dealers such as midway. On Midway, 1000 (165) grain bullets will run $105 plus shipping, the guy I bought mine from was priced at $90/1000 + tax = $96, about $25 cheaper than getting them online. He also had 125 grain 357 plated bullets for $75/1000, next time I'm gonna score 1000of those.:D

I find some good deals on ammo, but that's about it. I haven't (yet) found a better price on a gun at a show than I could get in a shop somewhere. Many of the used guns seem to have some esoteric feature (which I can neither detect, nor care about) that makes them significantly more expensive than a brand new gun.

Still, I do like to go and look around. Every once in a while I'll run across something that I need or can't live without. I also like being around other "gun people".
