So I have been on the hunt for a Lefty .308 bolt action. I settled on the Tikka Varmint line specifically because I like the action when compared to the the Rem700. It felt smoother (in my untrained and underused hands). And I do like the ability to have a few mags of different loads to dial in which makes this the perfect choice (IMHO).

Tikka lists the Varmint available in Left Handed models, and even in .308 on the tikka.fi site. As it turns out, according to the local gun store, I have to use the Beretta USA site to actually locate a rifle by Tikka (as Beretta owns and imports Saka/Tikka to the US). If you search the Beretta USA site, No lefty version of the Varmint or a Right handed .308. I am puzzled. Does anyone know of a shop that can order a LH Tikka T3 Varmint in .308 and have it transferred to my local FFL?

OR

Recommend alternatives with similar characteristics? I did look at the Savage 11/111 Trophy Hunter XP - comes with a Nikon Scope pre-mounted (to be swapped for my current glass) but was not prepared to change rifles due to what the counter was telling me.

Thanks - Eddie
