what to get when Im back from boot/"a" school

When I get back from boot camp/A school I plan on treating myself to a new EBR (sub $1600, preferably low $1k area). I want this to be a very versitile all around rifle that would be my go-to gun in nearly all situations. Ive got it down to one of the following. Piston AR (prob POF), Robinson XCR, Sig 556, and if its out by March...the Bushmaster ACR.

If anyone has any experinece with these could you give me some opinions. Ive heard some sketchy reviews of the 556. Ive heard mainly good about the xcr and piston ARs...is there any reasons to pick one over the other? Has anyone heard anything about the release date/price of the ACR? Thanks!

I suggest heading over to xcrforum.com for all the XCR info you could ever want.

Also the ACR wont see the light of day until 2010, and the SCAR is due next month for about $2400 street price.

If folding stocks, QD barrels, multi-caliber guns are your thing, the XCR is the only game in town.
