***I meant Osama, just an honest typo***
(thanks, mod, for fixing that)

Anybody know what the SEAL team carries?

Or maybe there's a news story I haven't read that mentions it.

Bueller?

There's really no way to know. I doubt the info released will ever be that detailed. It was a SEAL team after all, so it could be any number of weapons.

Somehow, deep inside, I hope he was shot with a pair of Colt Single Action Armys in 45 LC from a Milt Sparks speed rig with Ronald Reagan's name etched in the side. The triggers have GW's fingerprints and "IN GOD WE TRUST" engraved on the barrel. And I hope the Seal who shot him was smoking a cigar and wearing a Caterpiller hat. But I'm probably wrong on some of that.

Haha, I was thinking about this today. In my mind, I like to imagine that the seal had a M29 .44 mag saved just for this occasion!

My question would also be what were we shot at with?

Anyone listen to Beck today? I'm not sure I buy mechanical failure for the chopper going down. I'm guessing we check those before they fly.

I haven't a clue what gun was used to kill bin laden, but I like walerman's guess. I thank the brave folks that carried out this mission. I can only imagine the adrenalin levels were off the charts. I hope they've had a chance to have a cold beer and relax and reflect on the importance of their abilities. I'd love to see the video.

Well, let's see. .

On the Colt forums, it was rumored to be the Colt CM901.
On the Bushmaster/Magpul forums, it was rumored to be the the ACR.
On the Glock forums, it was rumored to be the a Glock.
On the FN forums, it was rumored to be the the SCAR.
On the HK forums, it was rumored to be the G36.

Starting to see a pattern?

Since specops can use any weapon system they want, it's kinda up in the air. . .

He was shot with a Daisy Red Ryder...

Whatever it was, it blew out part of his skull. So no .308, likely a .5.56

The best .74 the US Govt has spent in a while (.37 * 2 = .74)

I've been wondering and have heard no mention of what was used. We'll all want one when we figure it out.

In all seriousness, those guys make you proud! To all of our guys and gals doing what you do, THANKS!
