Considered making one, but hog wire sold in 100 ft (don't need, but 25 feet) is rather high, 140 a roll. Looking on line, I find traps for 350 about, a few for 250. I need something light enough to drag with a dirt bike, maybe could rig some wheels on the back. I do have a wire feed welder to work with.

Weighing my options right now. Anyone know where they sell traps in SE Texas for reasonable prices?

If you come up with a good solution be sure to let me know. I've been kicking around the idea of trappin pigs here for a while but all the trap plans I have are for permanent or semi-perm traps and I really want something I can move around the property.

I hear ya. I have a good idea how to put it together, it's just getting the materials reasonable. I have a wire feed welder, think it'll do. I'm going to Victoria Saturday for a gun show, might run by Muller or one of the steel suppliers and see what I can get some angle for. I could build the frame and door and worry about the wire later, I guess.

I wanna build something light enough I can drag it around with a dirt bike. I have some motorcycle wheels off a street bike I parted out, thinking I might can put a large enough diameter rod through the back of it, drill a hole in each end for a hitch pin to keep the wheels on, and weld up a handle I can put over the rack on the bike and bungee down, then I can drag it like a trailer. When I get it where I want it, pull the wheels off. I just wanna keep the weight down to max couple hundred pounds. I had one out there when I bought the land, guy came and got it later. It musta weighed 500 lbs if it was an ounce. I used to drag it with my Toyota 4x4, but I don't have that truck anymore.
