Hi everyone. Im seeking advice from the good folks of THR once again. I'm waiting for a Remington 700 LTR in .308 that I want to scope. The rifle is to be for hunting - pigs, goats - but will spend more time shooting paper at the range no doubt. I can't envisage ever using it at ranges greater than 300 metres in either case.
I'm quite keen to get a Leupold and I have 3 models in mind -
VXII 2-7X33, VXII 3-9X40, VXIII 2.5-8X36
Is the VXIII range worth the extra money ?
Does anyone have any strong opinion about the VXII 2-7X33 vs VXII 3-9X40 ?
What rings/mounts would I need ?
Would the recommendation be different if the rifle were to only be used for hunting or target shooting ?
