Did I miss something in all the heated debate? I thought the question at hand was whether the provisions in question of the Oklahoma CCW law:
1) pass OK Constitutional muster? I think so
2) pass US Constitutional muster?
And as for all the property rights vs. civil rights talk, what about states' rights? Oklahoma has basically said that employers can't affect certain behaviors of their employees based on a legal item in a private, locked, vehicle.
There are many instances where the company parking lot is a mall parking lot. AOL's support center in Oklahoma City is at a mall...so if AOL said no guns in cars, where would those people park? On the other side of the mall next to Dillards? I think the law was intended to clear up this kind of confusion.
