That mag will fit, as it appears to be the same mag that comes from the factory.


There have been plastic mags from the factory with the 597, and those have proven to be problematic, prompting a shift back to the metal mags, which as far as I know, run pretty much perfectly. I only use the factor metal mag in mine and don't have any issues.

Mine works fine with 8 rounds in the mag/ anymore than that & it jams up
