Probably from the Taliban. I'm sure they have more than they can shoot thanks for Brandon.
As in many areas, I'll probably be an outlier, but I much prefer 62 grain over 55 grain. For intermediate range shooting (250-500 yards) it works pretty well for me. But most of the time my personal reloader (Thanks, Dad) uses 68-77 grain bullets which get us out there a lot farther and buck the wind great. Your mileage may vary.
I keep a few dozen boxes of 62 grain green tip because you never know when you might need some.
It's like banning black Tallon ammo today.
Only fools care and there's better stuff available now.
If it makes the gun grabbers think they got a win let them have it.
Being a reloader I have 2K .224 pulled tracer bullets and around 5K SS109 pulled bullets. Got them for almost nothing years ago. They are put back for the eventuality of having nothing else to stuff into brass when reloading.
At the FW gun show today, there were far too many "green tip to be banned" signs. Most wanted $20-25 per box, too (I can get Win 855 for $15 at my LGS). Guess which tables got passed completely by without a second glance.
TruDat, green is penetrator and black tip is armor piercing. I see little practical use for either for the shooting I do so i have never went looking for it. I have bought some though in the past if it went on sale.
