Last week I loged on to CDNN's web site, just to see what they had on sale.
I saw that they had New Winchester rifle stocks at great prices and started thinking. My youngest son, Isaac, is seven and will be shooting something bigger then a 22 rifle in the next year or two.
I have a Winchester Featherweight in 223 Remington, which would be a great rifle for him to move up to, but he's a short little guy and the stock might be a little too long for him for some time to come.
So with this in mind I started looking through the Winchester stock. They had a listing for a short action Mod. 70 youth stock. It was listed as new, but made of hard wood. The price was $29.
Well I ordered it along with a few other thing.
Today FedX arrived with a box from CDNN.
Here is the stock.
Here's my Mod 70 Featherweight.
And here it is in the youth stock.
Isaac asked me if the rifle was his now. I told him when he is a little older and can shoot it good, it will be his.
If your in need of a stock for a Winchester rifle, check out CDNN. It appeares that they bought up a bunch of Winchester's old stock invantory. They have several stocks, post and pre 64, and most are under $100.
