Im sure this has been debated before but.....

i use wolf "military classic" in my 2 AKs (5.45 and 7.62). it has worked well for me however.....

with the soaring prices of ammo these days and the large amount of time i spend shooting/training i am thinking about the wolf "mil classic" for my .45 and 9mm.... i have never heard anything good about that typical black box steel case wolf. the mil classic seems to be a coated steel case. does anyone have any experience with this ammo for their handgun?

I think the Wolf handgun ammo is now all polymer-coated.

Pretty sure there is no laquer-coated handgun ammo to be had.

I've had good luck with the .45 and 9mm polymer-coated Wolf. Accurate enough and no malfunctions.

.45 in a 1911
9mm in a Glock

Depends on the individual gun on whether it will even function. Wolf 40/9mm runs fine in my glocks, will lock down my berettas (92/96). I am talking beating a cleaning rod down the barrel to get the spent shell out of the chamber. Function fair in a 40 springfield xd. Thow a lonewolf barrel on my glock, jam o matic. The wolf don't like wolf. Plan on good cleaning after range session.

the best way to find out is to put it through your gun and find out. i got a case of wolf 230gr to put through my 1911 when i get home and i can asure you tht i can't wait, as it will be the first time using wolf handgun ammo, and if it works as good as it does in my ar and ak then i will be a happy camper, and i will be sure to tell ya'll all about it.

I used wolf in my SW Sigma 40 and had no problems and I use wolf in my Taurus 1911 I have had no problems with it, but the accuracy is not quite as good, that said it is still accurate enough to get a decent group on target and I definatly would not want to be down range of it

I've used the 9mm stuff in some Ruger and S&W autos without any problems other than dirty and a little loss in acuracy. jwr
