From the bottom of my heart, i wish all of you many many years of safe and happy shooting, but, as much as i love shooting, i havent even got to fire a single round in almost a year. Being stationed here in good ol Kunsan AFB, my once overfilled gun safe and my gun rack are now replaced by a few knives, Call of Duty 4, and a airsoft gun that looks like a G-36c.

Of the many things i left back home, my old chevy truck that just wont quit, my formidible collection of firearms, my old faithful Glock 30 and my Remington 700, and my beloved wife, and my friends and family, i miss simply being able to step out on the back porch and fire off a few hundred rounds of .22, who ever said that you dont know what ya got 'till its gone couldnt be more right... I have never went more than a few days without shooting. And now im at month 9 of my non volantary "shooting rehab"
and i think i got a bad case of gun withdrawl:banghead:

How long have any of you went without shooting...?

Umm....I shot a bird that was eating our grass seed yesterday in the yard. Little critters have cleared a bald spot already, and the seed has only been down for 4 days now. Ruger 10/22 cures them up pretty quick!

yep, thank you for keeping us out of harms way! sorry about your "withdrawls"! it sucks. this winter i went 2 months, and finally couldn't stand it. went out and lost some reloading brass. but it was woth it. sometimes, you just gotta have a fix! i would think that somewhere in an armed services base, there would be some kind of shooting range. but i was not in the military, so i do not know. can you ask the base commander about it? maybe you can come up with something. even if they arent your guns, a few hundred rounds would be a great morale booster.

The 4 years of college, I fired not one shot.

Made up for it the summer after college by buying a SW9VE, Taurus PT92SS, traded the Taurus for a Glock 17, got my CCW and shot about 2000 rounds in 3 months.
