This reddit thread links to a video demonstrating how a 500-series shotgun can be disabled by a one-foot drop to the ground:

The impact with the ground displaced one of the pins holding the shell lifter in place. Attempting to cycle the action after this point will result in a serious jam.
Clearly this seems to have had little real-world impact, but it seems like kind of a big deal to me.
