The handle is very elegant and distinctive looking but I would likewise be concerned that it might be too slick to get a good grip on it.

A.G. Russell's description says the handle is alternating spacers of black carbon fiber and brass. Don't know the exact composition of the carbon fiber material but I imagine the brass spacers could make it feel slick.
