No super cool finds today. I went in to work today from 4am to 4pm, so I’m a little tired. I have a friend coming over tomorrow that may give me a hand. I bet I’ll find something cool on the 8 foot bench.

Did you "edit" the poster for the pic? Also the top pic has a gun pointed at jesus's head. May want to swap that to the other side or flip the rifles around!

(In my best nineties surfer voice)

"Rad! A totally thrashed board! I didn't know you could skate, dude. You like parks or street? How'd you dutch it? Shuck a gnarly rail or stomp a landing? I bet it was wicked! "

And now I say: " No. Put your feet under your own chair. If you finish all your baby peas you can come shooting with the big boys too. Leave her alone she is eating her dinner. Yes you have to eat your peas too. You didn't want to go. Yes you can go, if you eat all your peas. Sure only one, if that is all the bullets you want to shoot."

Then little bear gets mad and cries, "but I can't eat that many!":) A kid after my own heart.

It's looking better, Gunny! It takes a while to get there, both orderly and disheveled. Though, as you and the whistle pigs know, with kids it is faster to get to disheveled!

Gunny

I love the overview photos you post! It's like there's thousands of things to look at and try to identify! I swear I saw Waldo in one of your photos!

Eagerly awaiting the next treasure unveiling!

Yes I did. I covered up one word that wasn’t forum friendly.
Jesus is going to be moved when I finish cleaning up. I got the picture when my grandmother passed away. It’s dated 1946.

Good Clinton targets.... but my favourite from back then was "one more whore and we get Gore". I don't know if i heard it or what, but ended up making one and glueing it to my bumper, (this was after the Monica Lewinsky thing with Bill...

Good work Gunny... LOL

Man this thread hits close to home, this is about one saturday a month at my place, trying to keep all this old junk in order

I just re-floored and re-plumbed most of my domicile. Everything loose wound up in my man-cave and in the carport, depending on its sensitivity to weather. Toward the end, the man-cave looked remarkably similar to your "before" picture.

Things are settling down, now. I'm not going to re-floor the man-cave because I don't feel like messing with the bee-hive that's established in the crawlspace and inside the west wall.

I didn't find much treasure except for a box of mammoth ivory slabs, some chain mail projects, some rare wood pen blanks, ans a few hundred pounds of soapstone.

I actually look forward to this thread every day. lol
Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday. I was pretty much distracted this weekend. I did clean up my six foot bench a little. I had to find my AR tools. I knew where they were, just had to move stuff to get to them.
I may even pull out all the stuff on the floor of the Mosin closet to see how much ammo I have in there.

In post #54 you can see some of the shelves I put up. I am also rearranging and giving some stuff away.
I have a 9x19 foot shed in the backyard. I could move some stuff back there but it's kind of full too.

This thread reminds me of my shop. When I retired I sold a lot of electrical material and suddenly I had lots of room in my shop. I found 8 buckets of wheelweights that I did not remember having!

Ahh.. A sequel then. "Gunny's tool shed. The Vault opens.":)

I am still in the procurement phase of the ordeal. In twenty years I hope to be doing this same type of "Spring cleaning in the fall".

Well I did get a little done. Then my daughter called. I had to go pickup my two grandsons and take them to get Halloween costumes.
Here is what I got done before I had to leave. I cleaned up under the six foot bench a little.

Found another container of 223brass.

A box of gun parts.

After I swept the floor under the bench I passed a magnet in the pile of dust and located a few AR parts that had been launched during builds. I bet I’ll find more before I’m done.
