Considered doing this for awhile, just finally got around to putting my personal CMR in the bound book and lobbing the barrel to 10". Except for the flush mag, these things bear a strong resemblance to the MP-7 when you cut 'em down!
And then there's this thing:
4.1" long, 1.3" OD and 7.7 ounces, it's a fully welded entirely 17-4 stainless critter with a small reflex chamber. Hearing safe with the shorty .22 WMR, and only adds 3" to the OAL:
More testing to do on the can, but it should be robust enough for 5.56, although that won't be hearing safe. I designed it with .22 WMR and small centerfire rounds like the 5.7x28mm, .22 TCM and .22 Hornet in mind.
