Anyone know much about these knives. Cleaning out some of dad's stuff and found it. Never sharpened stone in sheath looks like it was used a bit on something.

I bought one a long time ago and have used it for 25+ years. I always figured it was made by someone else and Remington put their name on it. The blade design has been useful and has skinned a lot of game.

What I have read is that Remington started making knifes after WWI and stopped in 1940. They sold the tooling to Pal. Remington knifes after that were made by others. I am not an expert, but I have recently been researching a Remington pocket knife that I inherited.

That’s my hunting knife. Mine has a stag style scales. It takes a sharp edge. It’s a nice thin blade that seems to have resisted rust from blood and water over the years. I like it.
