This Pic is from my first inventory a couple of years ago. I'm holding an FG 42, which is a German Paratrooper Rifle from WW II. 7.92X57mm, fires from the closed bolt on semi and from the open bolt on full auto. There were only about 6,000 ever made. The ATF has only a handful on their registry. These go for around a third of a million when one comes up at auction, which is a rare event. The one I am holding shows no signs of ever having been used, so it would go for much more. We have three of them in the collection, one first model and two second models

Don't start saving your pennies, like every gun in the museum......not ever for sale. Owned by the D.O.D.

Uber cool and ultra rare FG42s you've got there! And as you so correctly pointed out they're not for sale...ever! There use to be a company called SMG GUNS that made a semi-auto version of the FG42 for around $5000+ but I don't know if they're still in business or if they even produced any rifles for that matter. If they did that's the only way someone is ever going to experience shooting an FG42 nowadays!

Nice relaxing moment you've got pictured there! Already have a Rossi M92 in .45 Colt and would love to get one in .357 to go with my Ruger Blackhawk. Handy little carbines!

There are two or three things that you may not know or realize about the Rossi. They are a clone of the Winchester and, like them, are a top eject with NO side loading gate. They also have a curved butt plate with no pad. The curvature is tight enough that you may find the upper and lower points gouging your shoulder. These are the main reasons I chose the Marlin 1894 over the Rossi, Winchester, Uberti, and Henry versions.

Well I have had a Rossi Model 92 for quite a few years now and it most definitely has a side loading gate. Are you sure your not thinking about the Henry Lever Action Rifle instead?

And the curved butt plate on my .45 Colt Model 92 doesn't bother my shoulder at all.

I was having withdrawals a while back, it happens when I get bored or haven’t bought a gun in a while. Two of the local pawn shops has Sig Mosquitos sitting on the shelf for $250. I decided to buy the one that was like new and worked out a deal. Ended up paying $200 out the door.
All I have ever shot in it is CCI Minimags and have never had a problem with it.

Gunny, what's your opinion of the mini shells? Three years ago I bought the mini shell buckshot, slugs and the adapter for my Shockwave. Completely underwhelmed by their performance. To me their more of a novelty than something you would use for self defense.

On the other hand I find the Rio Royal 2 3/4 inch #4 buckshot a perfect fit.

I find that they work great out to 10 yards, which is perfect for inside the house. I also like the Federal Premium Law Enforcement Tactical, low recoil, buckshot and slugs.

Not the greatest pic ( might get a better on this weekend) but here my JRA built M72 rpk. I got last year and only ran a few mags in it so far. It was pretty accurate from my meger backyard range. It has great blueing on it, the wood stain is also pretty nice.
