Will it still cycle if I shorten the barrel?

Quick question, I have a Browning Buckmark barrel I would like to shorten to 2.5." Will this still generate enough pressure to cycle reliably without modifying the recoil spring?

Speaking of, if you want my snubbed camper barrel you can have it. I screwed up the sight install.....twice....so it's really only usefully with an optic or if your going to fix it.

I'd appreciate that! I happen to be using a red dot sight on that pistol.

On this same note, does barrel length have anything at all to do with a recoil operated gun's ability to cycle? The way I think of it is that there has to be enough pressure generated in the barrel to operate the slide, and less barrel length=less pressure, is there any truth to that?

It probably is to a degree, but how much I don't know.

Shoot me a pm with your mailing address and I'll send it out.

Most pistols are recoil operated so it won't matter. The mass of the moving part (the slide usually) determines how much force is necessary to cycle the gun.
