My wife and I have names for certain things that are part of that, "only married people understand it," language. "Big Ugly" is my .45 S&W Model of 1917. We don't name all our guns, just that one.If it doesn't alert when I call it, I don't see the point in naming it. Each to his own, of course.
I’ve got three sons and maybe 50 or so hand guns. I’ve been known to run through all three sons names on occasion in conversations, no way am I gonna name guns and try to keep them straight……
How 'bout Victen (for Vic-10)?
I know!About a year or so ago I picked up a Model 10 that was a French police trade in. I had to send it off to S&W to get worked on so I had them refinish it. They put a nice matte black finish on it that they called "blued." I have an old set of Coke bottle grips on it and just put a lanyard loop on it last night. I bought it to give to my sister but I liked this so much I gave her something else instead. I bought it because it was relatively inexpensive and my excuse was to have a "Victory" model type revolver, but not an actual Victory model. What would be a good name to call it similar to "Victory Model"? I use it as truck revolver and when working on the farm. I do not know how to post pics, so sorry about that.
Check that !! My dear late wife's name was Karen and my new wife's name is Karen. I sure don't need to complicate my life any further with firearms named Karen.Whatever you do, don't call it "Karen".
