What is the last gun that you bought?

Picked these up last weekend. 1953 Beretta 418 and 1942 Saginaw M1 Carbine

While browsing around on Gunbroker the other day, I came across a sporterized Argentine 1891 Mauser in decent shape, other than the stock being cut down (actually whoever did it, it looks nice). And wonder of wonders, it was actually correctly listed as an antique, and thus able to ship directly to the door. I have one already, that I was able to source the correct stock for. Nice shooter, and have a decent supply of ammo.

I added this second one, in honor of it's status as a fully functional rifle that's listed as a pre-1898 antique, and thus free of paperwork.

The Magnificent Seven • Main Theme • Elmer Bernstein - YouTube

Airborne Falcon-- at :18, a few seconds cover the end of the hearse scene. I first saw movie at age 6 or 7 at the old "51" drive-in movie, Jackson MS (My parents drove...:D). Maybe it was '62?
It's my favorite movie theme of All Time, and this true "art film" :scrutiny: is in my top few best.

Based on "the Seven Samurai".
Theres a decent "Seven Samurai in Space" homage film called "Battle Beyond the Planets," a little campy since it was made in the '80s, but worth watching, IMO.

I have been looking for a Springfield 1922, for a long time. Finally found a nice one, for a good price. The Springfield 1922 is one of my grail guns. It is a pure joy to handle and shoot. You can tell by the way it is fitted and finished, it was built by a true craftsman. Nothing fancy, just very well put to gather and solid. It’s a military rifle, but has a somewhat sporter look.
The only picture I have now is the listing photo.

Good for you! The 1922 was one of my bucket list guns too. Hope you got a factory magazine or two with it. If not, there are usually a couple on Fleabay, but they are pricey. I dont even try to squeeze the fifth round into them so as not to overstress the springs and baseplates.

The Circle K aftermarket mags wont feed at all in my rifle......

Thank you: I have one magazine and have just been loading four, for the same reason. I have thought about buying some of the Circle K mags, like that word play, but hearing they don’t feed, l will hold out. I have shot my 1922 at 25 and 50 yards, and it will shoot, very tight with cci standard velocity. Really want to stretch it out to 100 yards. I have really fell fell in love with it. It has become my favorite rimfire.

Also, forgot to mention mine will only chamber Winchester under protest and pretty much refuses to extract them too- tight chamber issue, I believe. CCI, Aguila, and Federal seem to work fine.
