A couple of weeks ago Mrs. Fl-NC got a nasty old fashion cold (not of the "newer variety" that was supposed to be a extinction level event) so she was on the couch and not doing much for a few days. Between spending time keeping her comfortable, etc, I was able to get all kinds of "busy work" done. I decided to get every knife I have out of every tool box, box of hunting stuff, vehicle, night stand drawer, etc. It was quite a pile of knives that had collected- versus me purposely collecting knives. For the last several years, I have been giving some of my older better knives I don't use any more away mostly to my son- not that he hunts or even carries a knife very often, he just likes them. Mrs. Fl-NC received my old USA made sharpfinger to keep in her hunting stuff. I gifted a Kershaw national wild turkey federation knife to a volunteer who LIVES for turkey hunting at a charity-run turkey hunt last weekend. I gave a well-used bench made I used on a deployment to a friend who is an avid collector/historian of SF and sniper equipment. I am trying to give them away to people who enjoy/will use them, because I have way too many. I am keeping the ones I actually use for various purposes, including some of the cheaper ones that live in the tool chest or in the truck console, and my higher end ones like my Randall and Spartan knives. Is anyone else doing this?
