+1 on what Father says. Top notch!
I've had one for a year. 1500ish rounds and no failures at all, other than 2 FTEs during break in, and I think those were caused by too much oil on the bolt face. Accuracy is great--2moa with surplus, 1moa with match ammo. The trigger was a bit stiff out of the box, but a quick trip of the trigger pack to Bill Springfield and he had it all cleaned up, down to 6ish lbs, and back to me in a week for $45.
I've added an HK21 butt pad and an HK heavy buffer to mine too. I got tired of sore shoulders after a day at the range. It's got surplus G3 furniture ($15 at CTD) and a sling on it now too, mostly because it was required for the new pad and buffer, partially because the stock PTR stuff is pretty thin. 20 rd mags are so cheap it's not even funny ($2-$3 is common, one place had 50 for $50 a while back). I bought 10 and keep them loaded in my SHTF stash just 'cuz I can.
The heavy barrel is accurate, but it isn't necessarily the cat's pajamas. The rifle is heavy already and the barrel certainly doesn't help. The heavy barrel also takes longer to cool down--the rifle gets pretty hot if you go through a few 20-rd mags in a short time.
Buy one, you won't regret it. I think it's the best buy out there for a battle rifle.
The *only* downside is that the availability of good 308 surplus is starting to wane. That may be temporary though, and worst case I can use new Lake City stuff at about twice the price (2 x dirtcheap = still not too bad).
