I've heard that Pete from AR15sales.com has great prices and is highly respected on ar15.com. My question is how safe is it to buy from him. How do you make the transaction? Do you give him your credit card information over the phone and then he sends you a receipt when it ships. I am wanting to get a RRA Predator Pursuit, would he be able to put a RRA Qaud Rail on instead?

He lists a lot of great looking rifles, but no prices anywhere on the site. While it's just a small quibble, I'd personally rather not waste a long distance call to find out prices when I'm shopping around. Otherwise, good looking site with solid products.
I agree...not so much bothered about the long distance call, but in this day and age the prices should be upfront and displayed. Not telling the guy how to run his business, but I know when I'm internet shopping, that'd be a turn off for me.

The guy is great to deal with. Sounds rough on the phone, but he shoots straight with you. His prices are lower than many dealers out there. Long distance calls, you still pay for those these days? I thought everyone has cell phone nowadays.

As to prices on line, many companies with rapidly changing markets - such as guns - have gotten away from trying to update the sights on an hourly basis. It's just more time efficient to answer the phone. With the technology available I don't think it's a valid issue, but some companies feel that way.

It does take a fair knowledge to run price update systems, stock / inventory systems etc... Most of the smaller sites are maintaining their inventory manually and its a pain in the butt to do.
When we started we had an IT background so we wrote our system in-house to talk to inventory, resize images etc... Most of our system is automated with a human "checkpoint" in it.
Keeping gun pricing up to date is tough, so many offers and specials etc from distributors.

Online RRA dealers are not allowed to post prices for RRA stuff any lower than the prices on RRA's website. For that reason you have to email or call them to get the prices from them. Go to ADCO firearms and you will see that everything that they carry in RRA doesn't have an actual price on it. Everything else they carry does.
I bought a Stag upper from AR15sales.com about a year and a half ago. I believe it was drop shipped directly from Stag. The only thing that might be an issue is that they bill your credit card when the order is placed not when it shipped. There always seem to be delays for RRA products so that might be an issue.
