umm... I am addicted to 1911. I am not taking care of my other babies anymore. Are there other addicts out there?

I'm as addicted as I can afford to be to 1911s..
a GSG 1911 .22lr and a Para GI Expert
If I could afford to be more addicted I would be
for now these two are great shooters and super reliable

It gets worse. When you've sold everything including your own daughter you realize you should have sired more daughters.

I don't own one :uhoh:
I have always wanted one, but not just any old 1911. Being from Missouri, I have always wanted to buy an Ed Brown 1911 (E.B. - Perry, MO) .
I have been thinking of selling a few to fund the idea. I just don't get turned on by the idea of paying $1000 for a firearm, that IMO, isn't worth it.

But I will pay $2500 for an Ed Brown, so who knows

If your other babies are Glocks or M&P's, then relax. They don't need the extra care and will be fine.

It's your 1911 that needs all the extra special attention. Mine will rust into dust in less than one day if I don't wipe it down nearly every single day. LOL.

My name is **** and my addictions vary. For several years it was 1911's. This year I am obsessed with 22's. I have taken one of two marlin 60's (an essentially monetarily valueless rifle) and devoted much TLC to it after years of letting it sit in peace. I have reblued the barrel and tube, polished the bronze rod to a shimmer, striped and repainted the receiver, refinished the stock and mounted a set of williams fire sights. The other one will get a similar treatment except for a decent 22 scope. For every 200 rounds my 45 is seeing, my beloved Marlin is seeing between 1000 and 5000 rounds. I managed to pry myself away from 22's long enough to assemble an ar and become accustomed to my new glock.

I'm worried what addictions next year may be bring. I am weak. I need a support group (preferably one with members that have a reloading setup).
