Recently got a SRH in .454/.45lc. I'm thinking of putting a scope on it. Would appreciate any advice on a recoil proof scope.
Thanks in advance.

I have Leupold on my Desert Eagle .50AE. I went through several other brands that had the innards shoot loose before I got to this one. No problems at all with this one.

Pay close attention to your mounts too. You'll want something that lets you see the iron sights, and something very strong. I've broken two mounts before I got to where I am now. I will look at the mounts and rings when I get back to the house, but I don't remember the brand on there now... The see through part is much more handy and important than I thought it would be...

Leupold will fix your scope for as long as you live. When you give it to your son they'll fix it for him too, and for your grandson! They stand behind their products. As for mounts, take a look at the SOB mounts, dem good stuff.

Buy a Leupold and never have to worry about it again. Burris, Weaver and Nikon are also good. IMHO, there is no need to put anything larger than a fixed 2x on any revolver.

Thanks to all.
Agree on retaining iron sights, I have a GP-100 with a scope and should have used tall mount rings (sigh).
