Beretta M9. if you are or know a pistol instructor in south korea, shoot me a PM. can't sign up for anything formal, but it's worth a few beers to me to learn whatever tips, pointers, form, etc that would help me when it's time to qualify. i'm not even sure if my unit will take me to the range, much less actually do the paperwork to qualify me with an M9.

90% of handgun shooting problems (in my opinion...), stem from using the "death grip" on a handgun. Learn the basic stance, grip, etc, but remember that you don't have to choke the gun to death to fire it.

When you grip too tightly, you can't help but move the other muscles in your hand, wrist and forearm when pulling the trigger. Then you shoot all over the place.

Lighten your grip so that the trigger finger moves independently of the rest of your hand. It sounds too simple, it even sounds a little silly, but over and over again I've taken people from big ugly groups to nice tight little groups just by instructing them to lighten up on the grip.
