beretta 90-two vs 92A1

I have owned two 90-Twos - I sold the last one recently because I just couldn't get into the grip. There are NO aftermarket grips for the 90-Two, unless you put a slip on rubber grip that people put on polymer handguns.

The 92A1 has all the improvements internally as the 90-Two, but it thankfully uses the normal style beretta grips. So, all the grip options available to the 92FS will work on the 92A1.

The front and back straps on the 90-Two are slippery to me. I tried several solutions to do something to the grip, but nothing worked well.

The 92A1 is my fav of all the railed incarnations of the 92 platform. It is a great gun, and I would recommend that over the 90-Two.

That being said, the 90-Two will be more of a limited gun, in that they will start importing them into the USA in more limited batches... It may also get discontinued, as the gun never really caught on.

If ya REALLY want a 90-Two, better get one now if ya have access to one... The 92A1 came out last summer and will be around a while. However - if ya justw ant the best of the two, I'd suggest the 92A1...

The frame is aluminum, just more skeletonized... The polymer grip slides onto the frame in 1 until. It does confuse some people into thinking its a polymer handgun.

Yeah, the frame ahead of the grip just has an odd texture to it, looks so much like a 50/50 cross between a typical poly frame and a typical metal frame. It's weird. Not the grips, I know those are straight polymer, but the frame itself looks different to me.

Hell, get them all

I love my 90-Two. The magazines fit in my cx4 as well in 40S&W. I am headed to the range today with both cx4 and 90-two to do a review for my site. My wife is deadly with the cx4 and is more comfortable with it than she is a handgun. Both in the same caliber allows us to share magazines as well as the same ammo if we had to hold up some where.

The sights are close to being the same. The rear sight of 90-Two has a tiny, tiny bit of extra distance - sorta like a Novak sight. If you get night sights, however, then they put a standard type 92FS night sight on there.

The luminova sights are the ones on the bud's site. They do not install those anymore. Beretta quit putting those on the 90-Two and PX4. If you get one with them, then its older stock.

They are just plain white dot sights.

Trijicon directly. Go to their website and look at the night sights ection. You can send the slide directly to them,a nd they will install the sights for you.

I did that to my 90-Two, back when i still owned one.

That's a little higher than trijicon's price, if I remember right
