I was at a gunshow this weekend and traded an AK47,mags, and ammo for an M1 garand, bayonet,6 empty enblocks, and 2 cans filled with 8 loaded bandoleers.

the barrel, bolt, follower, and reciever all match.

So my question is what do you think all this is worth, and did I do as well as I think I did(I had $600 in the AK)?

Nice pics and sweet rifle.
What's it worth
2 cans ammo + bayonet = $300
JLG stock is early post WWII but very nice maybe $300 but the correct stock for that rifle is SA/EMcF
Rifle with correct barrel, type 2 lock bars but it really depends on the muzzle reading. Either way if you had $600 in the AK you should feel guilty.
I'd say the rifle with the stock is at $1000+
Bottom line is you aquired $1300 worth of goods for $600. ;)
I really like pic #3

The barrel is also marked 6/43

how can you tell it was june from the pic?

From the serial number.

I have a 1.77 SA with the correct 7-43 barrel ME 1.5 that I'm just about done correcting.
SA/EMcF stock
-6 uncut OP rod
type 2 lock bar
short fork follower rod
SA-12 bolt heat lot W10-B
single slot gas lock screw
trigger group is -12 housing
-5 hammer
-9 safety
plunger with wings

I "love" these threads and everyone that posts in them.

When someone makes a trade and they made off like a bandit, they get a "Atta' Boy"

Wow!! Atta Boy!!

But if it was the other way around and the other guy was on here asking about the transaction the whole situation would be a travesty. Or better yet, if this had been a transaction involving an FFL of some sort you would all be calling for a boycott.

I'm not trying to pick on anyone here, I just want people to stop and think about threads like this one and how they could damage the industry and our community here at THR.

Thats what I think I'm going to do to this one with the barrel already done, the rest is easy, and I would love to have one that is all original even if I have to work for it.

Actually you did terrible.
And I feel sorry for your decision.
So here is what I am willing to do just for you:
Trade you a nice AK, 1000rnds of ammo and a bayonette for the Garand.
I'll even pay the shipping.

You could probaly trade your JLG stock for a decent EMcF but and EMcF in that condition might run $600.
I have a few parts that you'll need if/when you decide to correct your rifle.
As you stated to me the barrel is the biggest thing followed closely by the stock.

Here's a pic of my EMcF stock that I aquired from the CMP on a WRA field grade rifle. It has a rough finish and is mostly dark but original and the EMcF is very good which is hard to find, most are faint or fake so be careful what you buy. Probably worth $400 if I were to sell it but that's not happening.
The cartouche looks better than the pic shows.

The rifle is worth more parted out than as is. As a complete rifle $850.00 tops
I just sold a very nice completely correct SA 1944 and had a hard time getting $1200.00 out of it
You did well in the trade

I agree. If Hi-Lander's deal falls through, I'll be kind enough to offer you the exact same deal. Damn shame that you got taken to the cleaners like that. :)

Yeah, people love to "get a good deal." But hate to be taken. That's just how it goes.
