Just purchased glock21 and wanting to know if I should upgrade to night sights? If so which ones are good?

I use Mepros on mine. They have worked well. I think regardless of specific brand you should go for night sights. While at it, get threaded barrel, suppressor, and 3.5 lbs connector as well.

Do you shoot in low light or at night?
If yes & yes, then yes.

Seriously, I have Meproligts on a Glock & two SIG's, and would buy them again.

Trijacon & Meprolite offer 12 year warrentys on the green & yellow tritium.
5 years on orange.

Tru-Glo only says "Tritium glows continuously and will last for years".
They told me once in an email when I ask, the warrenty is 5 years.

A friend of mine just showed me the new Trijicon HD's the other day which he has on his G19. All I can say is wow -- I was impressed. The rear notch combined with the front post and everything about the sight is ideal to me. Trijicon's got a winner on their hands with the HD's.

Trijicon's are what I have on my G27 and Beretta 96 A1. Super Bright.
My M&P I went with the VTAC NS.

I'm not trying to tell you which is best. But... I have the TruGlo TFO's and also Meps on a couple of Glocks. The TFO's are nice in low light and the Mep's are better for one-handed cocking on a belt. I have never looked at Trijicon's but have read that their ghost rings are painted. The Mep ghost ring is plastic. A ghost ring is the little white circle around the tritium piece. The part that glows is fiber optic cable impregnated with tritium gas which glows. I understand that this is made in Israel and licensed to be sold to Trijicon which in turn resells it to Meprolite and TruGlo. So, there you have it... Everything I know or think I know about night sights. There are other brands that have great reputations also.

I have meprolight and TFO on two different guns. The TFO are way brighter if there is any ambient light. The meprolight are brighter in total darkness. I prefer the TFO, but am happy with the meprolight.

the stock glock night sights are great.
ive had one set of mepros and one set of trijicons and the trijicons were brighter and better imo

I run night sights on all of my guns that see carry duty and I have to say I think that they are worth it. I generally carry glocks and the plastic sights were a big turn off to me as they look fragile so thats what led me to after market night sights. I will give a thumbs up for XS night sights but it took along time for me to warm up to them as they function like a true combat sight and precision takes alot of practice '' for me'' but they come up fast and work at 10 yds or less.

I had Glock install Glock factory night sighs on my G26. They are really great. I like using them in daylight just about as much as the old factory sights. I miss the rear white U outline. $50 installed is not a bad deal.

My G26 Gen4 has Ameriglo Pro Operator sights that are Orange/green in front and Yellow in rear...

Had to buy a sight pusher to install rear sight...but worth the money, because I will lend it to anyone who pm's me...and pays for their own postage.

put XS big dot on my SP101, so pleased that plan on removing the Americaglo off my Glock 29 SF and replace with XS sight. Not much of a decision since i lost the americaglow front sight. Stuck a normal something on as a replacement. XS sights are for Close quarters . . Don't think i will ever be capable of 2 inch group at any distance. Old and terrrible eyesight. Watch my neighbor shoot, wish i could be a tenth as accurate

I do like the XS sights on a smaller handgun. Have not tried them on a Glock.

I really like the Truglo TFO sights. Fiber optic and tritium both. Win/win. In real darkness the tritium isn't as bright as dedicated tritium sights, but I still like them better. Of course I also have a Streamilght TLR-1 on my nightstand gun.
