It's not difficult, but will require a detail strip of the pistol. You will also need a hammer bushing with correctly-sized spacer to replace the the removed parts. Sam Lam makes a great one for just $11. You can find his contact info over at www.rimfirecentral.com.

Does not require a full detail strip. Easy and very useful mod if you want your Ruger to act like a normal pistol. Getting rid of the LCI is easy too.

Fairly simple; I would definitely recommend getting the Clark or Sam Lam bushing (or the Ruger MKII bushing) rather than trying to make your own spacers. I tried making mine and didn't have good results. I went with the Clark and the Volquartsen sear and trigger and couldn't be happier with the results.

The home made spacer(s) can be done. I ran them for a while but the aforementioned bushings will make your day. I got the Lam.

If you can detail strip the gun it's a simple part swap. If you use the Clark MKII bushing you do not need a spacer. Most of them fit the hammer tight so you only end up with 1 rotating point. Eliminating all but 1 rotating surface removes most all of the creep from the trigger.

That's an understatement... took me an hour to fit mine but it's ROCK solid.

Don't bother with the Clark bushing.

Go onto RimfireCentral and look up either the BAM or the Sam Lam bushing. It is the perfect bushing to remove the magazine disconnect.

The Clark is the only one that fits tight against the hammer. Yes the others will work but will not give you a better trigger.

The Sam Lam bushing fits equally tight in my experience. And it costs less as well. Sam is a great guy to deal with.

Sam's started out making them to a spec provided by Bullseye on Guntalk-online. This was to the original MKII bushing. I have heard that he has made them over size on special request. But it's been years since I've been on RFC. He may have changed his spec since then. If the fit is close you can always use Red Loctite to secure it in place.

Clark also provides a hammer pin that is precision fit to the bushing for the MKII and MKIII's. The 22/45 is a different setup.
