Quite awhile ago I posted about a Savage 110ba I had picked up in .338 Lapua and it's failure to extract issues. After multiple different brands of ammo and a bit of drama after trying to get a local UPS store to ship it back, finally got it in for warranty work and back in my possession.

Write up mentioned chamber polish and burr removal. I got my hands on a Vortex PST 6-24x50 scope and some Vortex rings and finally got her together and in shootable condition.

Hit the range this past Sunday more for a function test then anything and she's performed flawlessly with the Hornady ammo that had a 100% failure rate. Thing is an absolute blast to shoot, literally. AK47 on the bench next to me and everytime I pulled the trigger it was closing the action on him if it was on the table

3 Shot dialing in target, final group is the x ring, too many people at the range to go down, setup the target and do a proper 5 shot grouping sadly, always next time :D

Fun rifle but heavy.

If i had to do it again I would get the cheaper and lighter model.

Glad they fixed it for you. I have the 10 BA and absolutely love it.

^ nice, what scope are you running?

Have a cheapish Millett 6-25X56mm LRS-1 but it works.

^ Me too! Need to check if my reloading press can handle the Lapua length. I am a big Savage fan, say what you want about the styling, ergronomics, or trigger those SOBs sure shoot good. After half a dozen of them I have yet to formulate a bad thing to say about their accuracy other then some of them are picky about what they like to shoot. My 17HMR hated poly tips but shot so well with the TNT HPs that I hesitate to mention it here because nobody would believe me.

Best part is the accuracy. I met one of the guys who was on the design team of the rifle. Spoke w/ him at length about the rifle. They will shoot .5 MOA with box ammo (at least mine does) out to 400 yards.

Right now I plan on seeing what it can do with the Hornady's, it's a good start. Eventually try the Prvi's and see what that can do, then once I'm happy with how both those do I can start working on my own reloads and seeing how much I can tighten it up further lol

I've got a Marlin 336 in .35 rem that I can do very well with after I started reloading once fired cases. My expectations might be too high but that's half the fun

Just my $.02. I use Prvi to shoot steel at short range and warm the barrel for longer.

My son and I have both shot .5 MOA at 400 yards using 168 and 175g Black Hills. Hornady was good also (not as good in my rifle) but Prvi at 400 yards is at least twice if not 3X the group size at that distance. The old, you get what you pay for applies here.
