Awesome trigger discipline under pressure!

Dunno, but whatever game they're playing it looks like he might be in last place. That, and the right-side folding stock is interesting.

What kind of rifle is that? Looks like an AK variant but the dust cover looks different.

I took C. Robert McDowell's HG101 class out in McKean, PA a few years back. Very emphatic about trigger discipline. To illustrate his point, he showed us a very striking picture he has hung on the wall - a wounded Marine in Iraq, carried out by his buddies after a brutal close quarter fight with insurgents hiding in a house. His sidearm is in one hand, and it's clear beyond any doubt that despite all he's gone through - his trigger finger is exactly where it's supposed to be.

What am I missing? I see a guy yelling at a cameraman -- most people can look all manner of scared or silly when their picture's being taken at a rate of thirty a second.

His finger looks to be off the trigger.

Dust cover definitely looks like a Krinkov, hinged at the front, but the stock folding to the right is messin' with my head. That, and the housing for the hinge mech of the stock sticks out an inch or so past the rear of the rec'r instead of flush like a Krink.

Has an AK-style charging handle, gas tube and lower handguard...any other guesses?

Well, he's also a lefty, so shooting with the stock folded would be a lot more comfortable. I'd much prefer a right side folding stock (provided it doesn't interfere with the bolt or ejecting empties). Looks like an AK platform with a (possibly) custom side folding stock.

Yeah now that you mention it, the back trunion also isn't right for an East German.

Hmm.

Now I'm really curious!

OK Now I'm thinking a krink with that triangle stock above.

The dust cover has the sights in the OP, that's a really weird set up.
