Does anyone know who has these in stock at a decent price? I have looked several places such as Roze and Precision Delta with no luck.

You're welcome. They are my main sources of bullets. I've ordered several times from both companies and always had good service. The owner of Rocky Mountain is on this board as Longdayjake.

You might want to try some of the 115gr RN Hollow Base from Berry Mfg. They are slightly longer than a normal 115gr and supposedly are the cat's meow for target shooting.

Thanks rf, that is a plated bullet from what I see and I know nothing about plated bullets. I shoot FMJ because of leading concerns in my Glock barrels. Will plated fit that bill too?
 
Dave -

• Berry lists the 115 HBRN as "TP" meaning "thick plating". It should therefore act pretty much like a jacketed bullet. I say "pretty much" because what shoots great in my gun may be pure poop in yours. That might be because of barrel diameter, bullet diameter, type of rifling, chosen OAL, chamber pressure, etc. All anyone can really say is that there are numerous glowing reports, so try it and see.

• I can say that there will be no barrel leading, and no lead vapors to breathe. This because the bullet is 100% encased in copper, which was my initial attraction to them. Since then I have found that their "Hollow Base" series seems to be their best performers in any weight.

• I will say that most modern 9mm guns shoot better with 124gr. Berry also has a 124gr HBRN, and a 124gr HBFP. Part of the fun is experimenting and finding out which is best in your gun.

• If you call Berry on a weekday, they offer a "9mm Assortment" where they take their minimum pack size and pile all the types of 9mm bullets they make (that's about 8 or 9 in all) into a single box. You still get a full count, it's just mixed within a single box. This is not shown on their web page, you must call.

• When you determine what you like, then you can get cheaper prices through their distributors, like Powder Valley, Rocky Mountain, TJ Conevera, Graff & Sons, etc.
